My neighbors had bed bugs and had to throw away their mattress. How do I prevent them from getting in mine?
My neighbors across the hall had bed bugs and I saw them dragging out their mattress to be thrown away because the bed bugs had colonized inside the mattress. How do I prevent them from getting inside my mattress or box spring?? My mattress cost me about $1,500 and I really don’t want to face the thought of disposing it.
Vacuum it often! There is even a special spray that you can buy…not sure of the name…that will help keep them at bay. Not sure but the Febreze that helps kill allergens may help to be a preventative!
first off bed bugs are everywhere we just can’t seem them to the naked eye. wha ti try to do to prevent these nasty little creatures from showing up is i wash my sheets,pillow cases,bed spread etc. every week
Keep the whole room clean. Vacuum not only around and under the bed, but also baseboards, closets, regularly clean drawers, etc. Here’s a website:

If you have that much invested..Pick up a mattress cover(zip on bag) . The better ones(super high thread count) keep everything out of the mattress including dust mites.
