Which mattress should I choose?
I’m planning on buying a new mattress at Sit N Sleep because they are having a sale right now. I’ve narrowed it down to 2 mattresses. They both feel really good, but I’m curious as to how good a quality each one is. These are both queen size beds. Here’s the lowdown:
#1: Simmons Beauty rest Classic Plush/Firm was 9.99 now 9.99
#2: Sealy Seal Beach posturepedic Firm was 9.99 now 0.39
Why would one bed not be marked down as much as the other? Thank You!!
Well my recommendation is choose the one that feels the best to you.
But if you want a little more info on each bed:
Simmons Classic has 800 pocketed coils which is a great innerspring design because it minimizes motion transfer. Plus is conforms very well to your body. Plus you’ll have a lower chance of it making any noise.
The $799 Sealy model that’s on Sit n Sleeps website is their old model which has 667 offset coils which is a decent design, but doesn’t have the minimized motion transfer or the amount of conformability as the simmons.
Both manufacturers carry a full 10 year warranty. Both are great brands, but if you want my opinion. I’d say go with the Simmons. In my experience they tend to be more durable, and have a higher customer satisfaction rate.
As far as why one would be marked down more than the other… it could be a number of things. Overtocked items, their current promotion may be sponsored by Simmons, the particular model could be discontinued soon.
Choose very carefully because I got stuck with a mattress and had to pay $300 to return it after it was defective. I recommend going with someone with a better return policy like Saatva, just in case. After I returned my old simmons mattress, I looked very carefully at return policies before choosing saatva.
