How do I adapt a regular bed to hold a waterbed mattress? I want a waterbed mattress inside a sleighbed frame?
We love the waterbed mattress, but hate the looks of the bed. We want to use the mattress with our new sleigh bed. Do you have any suggestions as to how to adapt this regular bed to hold a waterbed mattress?
A waterbed is way too heavy for that. I would not fool with it.
As long as it has sides almost as high as the mattress, it should work. If not, it won’t work. A water mattress will slosh around unless it’s held in place.
Also, like the answer above says, it’s very heavy so make sure the bed is made to hold something that heavy. I think waterbed frames are made extra strong for that reason.
