form rubber mattress topper smells how can I get rid of smell?
I purchase a mattress pad for my pull out couch from Overstock
for guests. However the mattress pad rubber foam smelled like mildew.
How can I get rid of this smell.

Is it new? or have you had it a while? There might not be a way to remove the scent. You can try febreeze, but i have not had much luck with those products. You can also store it folded up in a closet in a plastic bag until you need it. In between the folds…. put a dryer sheet or a couple of them. Over time, the pad should absorb the dryer sheet scent.
SPRINKLE SOME BABY POWDER ON IT
.I had the same issue from a different company . When I bought the rubber foam thing, the store told me the smell would dissipate after a few days – and it did. Hopefully you will have the same experience
Probably the best thing to do is sprinkle baking soda on it and leave it on for a few days. That should absorb the moisture resident in the mattress and take away the odor of mildew.
