Can I put Sealy Posturepedic mattress on the Ikea slatted bed base?
Is the mattress easily worn out this way, instead of being put on the matched spring box?
I need some suggestion soon.. Have ordered mattress without spring box. My original concern was the height of mattress and spring box on the bed base..But my friend warned me about the durability..

You can do that.
As long as a mattress has a firm support under it, it will be fine. There’s not much difference (as far as wear) between a box-spring and a slatted bedframe.
You couldn’t put a mattress directly onto a standard bedframe because there’d be no support except on the edges …. it would definitely sag and wear in the middle!
But as long as you have firm support, evenly distributed under the whole bottom surface of the mattress, you should be fine.
