I want to know what is the difference between the tempurpedic foam mattresses, and the foam ones in Walmart?
Seriously! wants to know the difference from the Tempurpedic foam mattress and the one that Walmart sell that came in a box ready…I had the best sleep of my life from a Two Hundred and Twenty Five dollars foam mattress that I purchased from Walmart (225.00) Hundred dollars bed, Not Thousands of dollars. I even did the glass of water test on the walmart 8′inch foam mattress that came ready in a box and got the same results like the Tempurpedic foam mattress commercial. Could they be the same bed but some people are just paying for the name Tempurpedic?

I think it’s just the material that the Tempurpedic matress is made out of.. that may be expensive hence the high price. You’re probably better off going to Walmart.
It’s possible their copyright ran out or someone figured out how to replicate it. It’s like drugs. They have so many years before a generic can produce a like product.
I’m not an expert on mattresses but to me the difference between them is usually the price tag. When I go shopping for a mattress I don’t pay any attention to the price and try them by practically by lying down on them and what I find most comfortable to me is the one I try to negotiate. I usually get a free delivery and set up, removal of the old one and 90 days same as cash deal.

The difference is in the density of the foam. Just plain old normal foam like you got at WalMart isn’t as dense and sooner or later will just become compressed and you’ll have an uneven surface… Tempurpedic is much denser and that is why it springs back.
While your new foam mattress is comfortable (and it should be), it won’t last as long as a tempurpedic, nor will it hold it’s shape as well. Also, mattress mites (those annoying little microscopic bugs) have a field day in normal foam mattresses……
