I have an elder aunt who recently had a major surgery and now suffers from incontinence while sleeping. She has a water-proof mattress pad so the mattress does not become soiled, but the odor has penatrated into the mattress. How do I get the smell out?

How can we make one side of the mattress feel firmer?

We bought a nice new pillowtop mattress recently, and I love it but he thinks it’s too soft. Is there any (inexpensive) way for us to make his half of the bed feel firmer (like some kind of firming mattress topper)? This was a big investment for us, and returning it is not an option. I want us both to be happy with it — help!

Not the vinyl kind…They tear too easily. I tried one cloth cover before that was suppose to be waterproof, and it turned out it wasn’t!
