Is this mattress purchase a good deal?

I am looking into buying a new interspring mattress I had been planning on buying a new king size bed with a price range between 800-1000. I think that the beds are decent at this range. Well, this one chain in town has returned mattresses from customers who brought them back withing the 60 day time period. They tell me that these mattresses are not returned for defects and that they have been tested at their warehouse, and that some people return the simply because they did not like the feel after sleeping on them. They are offering a King size Sealy Postropedic Plush Rothchild that has an original price of $2700 for $700 + $200 for box springs no warranty though. I can’t find much info on the “Rothchild” and Im not sure how much to worry about the warranty. Opinions?

What is a good quality mattress that is available at an affordable price?

Our budget is between $500-800 for the mattress & box spring, and of course we would like to be closer to $500. We are back sleepers and both a little overweight. We are also looking for a cheap but sturdy bed frame as well. Can anyone suggest a type of mattress to look for, a brand or a place to look for them?

Is an air mattress good for your back?

I have a futon mattress at the moment and it’s really uncomfortable. Other mattresses I was looking at are way too expensive for me. I basically need a mattress that is very firm. Almost as firm as the carpet on the floor since that feels the most comfortable for me. Otherwise I wake up with my back hurting. Would an air mattress be a good choice for me?

What is the best make of mattress for a very good nights sleep?

I am looking at purchasing a new mattress for the bed. I know there are mattresses such as heavenlybed ™ and memory foam such as tempur. Which in your experience, is the best make of mattress for a comfortable night? Serious answers only please.
