Can you get bed bugs with a Sleep Number bed?

I had a friend say they found bed bugs at their house and I am quite paranoid. I vacuum constantly and my sleep number bed is basically a fancy air mattress. Am I bed bug safe?

Can I wash my Select Comfort / Sleep Number mattress cover?

“You cannot wash the cover. It is likely to fall apart.”

Well, that seems to be the consistent response that I received from the sales folks in 3 stores, and calling customer service twice. Well guess what… THEY’RE LYING !

I’ve had my King model 5000, dual chamber for 4+ years now and am VERY happy with it.

Last week one of my pooches urinated on it, and my wife went into a tizzy. I immediately inquired and was told by everyone at SC that it CANNOT be washed and must be replaced.

CS was so nice on the phone. “We’re going to pick up the first 64% of the replacement cost…” were the first words she uttered. I was tickled pink. But the next words were “…and you’ll pay only $276″. I almost fainted.

Well, my wife and I decided to implement “Plan A”.

Went to the local laundromat where they have LARGE capacity washers. We put the top cover (soiled section) into the largest machine on delicate.

We washed it TWICE, and then put it in the dryer for almost an hour.

SUCCESS !

How do you set up a Sleep Number bed?

My husband and I recently settled our divorce. I get the bed, which is a Sleep Number. He always handled the set up and taking apart, and i know he isn’t going to help me. Does anyone know how to set up this bed? It’s not a regular box springs and matress.

Tempurpedic versus Sleep Number mattresses – Have you tried both and would recommend one over the other?

I have a memory foam mattress now, not Tempurpedic brand, but the same type. I bought it a few months ago because of my bad back and chronic insomnia. It feels better than my old regular mattress, for sure, but I still don’t get good rest. I’m thinking of trying a Sleep number bed, but would like some opinions from people who’ve tried both.

Does anyone recommend a sleep number bed, and if so, which model?

I am seriously looking at purchasing a sleep number bed since both me and my fiancee need different firmness, our current mattress works great for him, but I toss and turn all night because of back pain. They currently have like 9-10 models on their website, I’d like to get the best but most reasonably priced one. Any suggestions? Has anyone out there had one for over 10 years, do they hold up well?

What to use to repair the o-ring area of a sleep number bed?

I have a king size dual chamber sleep number bed, just past 2 years old. The connection to the hose and pump has come completely away from the mattress. Wondering what I can use to reseal the connector to the mattress, (o-ring area) that would again give me a tight seal,

does anybody know how much one of those Select Comfort sleep number beds cost?

Select Comfort sleep number beds cost? I don’t want to contact the company & ask because i hate when sales people hound you for your name, phone number, & or address so they can call you back to harass you into buying stuff, & i don’t want to contact them via internet cause they sell your email address, & constantly email you asking if you are going to buy etc. just like calling them.

Sleep number type mattress with air chambers?

Would anybody like to share experiences with one of those sleep number type mattresses? The description says there are two air chambers inside the mattress, of which you can adjust the firmness by remote controls. There is also a 3″ thick layer of high density memory foam at the top.
