do all mattresses require a box spring?
i want a bed that is not for use with a box spring. My mattress is Sealy spring free posturepedic crocker grove ultra plush. It also has a latex core. I want to know if i should look for a different bed.
The bed I’m looking at is a platform bed and i do have a box spring. I’m wondering if I can use my mattress without a box spring?

Which mattress should I choose?
I’m planning on buying a new mattress at Sit N Sleep because they are having a sale right now. I’ve narrowed it down to 2 mattresses. They both feel really good, but I’m curious as to how good a quality each one is. These are both queen size beds. Here’s the lowdown:
#1: Simmons Beauty rest Classic Plush/Firm was 9.99 now 9.99
#2: Sealy Seal Beach posturepedic Firm was 9.99 now 0.39
Why would one bed not be marked down as much as the other? Thank You!!

Anyone heard of Serta 'Simply Perfect' mattress (see description)?
I am trying to possibly purchase a used mattress off craigslist that this couple bought at the air force base store (so I’m guessing this particular brand is not available to the general public). Anyway they are telling me it is Serta ‘Simply Perfect’ NOT ‘Perfect Sleeper’. Also told me it is a posturepedic and a pillowtop. I have looked and looked and looked to find a pic of this bed/mattress (queen size by the way) for a pic on the internet, plus I want to read some reviews of this particular mattress on the internet. But I can’t find it? and FYI: They sent me a pic message over my cell phone and I seen with my own eyes this ‘Simply Perfect’ but just can’t find on the internet. So if anyone out there reading this has a site for me to look at, please let me know. Thanks

Why is my matress not doing its job???
Ok, so I buy a nice bed frame at Ikea!! Everyone told me instead of buying a mattress at Ikea buy it at a regular matress store!! So i end up spending 0 for a Posturepedic Sealy….. The first couple weeks it was great, its been about 2 months now and i have the biggest back problems!! Never had back problems!! My lower back hurts so much!! What i realized aswell is that the mattress has a big indent in the middle!! Its not even!!! How come?? Did they sell me a lemon????

Celibate for 6 years and scared to death…any suggestions?
I decided after my divorce to dedicate my life to raising my child -child is now grown & its time for me! Problem: I am terrified! I am an attractive 36 yr old female. (this sounds egotisticle, but I am on the higher end of attractive) I went out twice last month – not dates – a family wedding (big bash) & with a friend to a club to watch her husband play in his band. Both were nightmares. At the wedding, 4 MARRIED men hit on me. I blundered through it, but inside I was seething. At the next outing, a very nice guy was interested in me – turns out that he was married & liked "threesomes." I also got stuck having to stay w/my friend at their friend’s house, & he wanted to show me his "SEALY POSTUREPEDIC" (Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE sex and can’t wait to get back "on the saddle" -I feel sorry for the lucky guy!)8) I just think a man should not be married and at least know my middle name before even discussing sex. Do all men act this way? Is this what I should expect? Help!

Should I buy a mattress cover?
I just bought a mattress–sealy plush posturepedic–and now am wondering if i should buy a cover for it or if putting sheets on it is fine. i was told by the guy at mattress firm that mattresses will last twice as long if you buy a waterproof mattress cover. is that true?

Buying new mattress… which is best?
Right now I have a bed that is terrible… it "squeaks" soooo bad and is not comfortable. I would like not to spend more than 00. I was told the tempur pedic is overrated. Then I was looking in Sealy PosturePedic but heard that people have backaches from it. Now I’m looking at Simmons Beautyrest and these are kinda expensive… but if they are great I am willing to buy one. (Also I heard pillow tops are overrated, is this true?) What is the best mattress in your opinion?
